ASCE stands for the American Society of Civil Engineers, which I am a proud member of. I am the current president of the HGTC ASCE chapter. In 2025, our school competed in a yearly symposium containing  multiple competitions, in which we brought home four trophies.

Some of the competitions we competed in were

• Timber Strong: We were tasked with creating a small, two story wooden structure
• Steel Bridge: We had to create a 19ft long steel bridge, capable of withstanding 2500 lbs.
• Surveying: Our team was given various land surveying tasks and used real world equipment to complete said tasks
• And many more competitions
